- Tanner grew up a Ducks fan, now he had the opportunity to play for his dream school
- He went to Servite High School alongside myself and B2B Athlete, CJ Masciel
- Tanner hold the University of Oregon records for hits, multiple-hit games, doubles, and at bats; as well as the career record for at bats
- Being a two time All-American, Tanner is returning to Oregon for his 5th year as a leader on the team and a key piece to the Ducks’ lineup
- Tanner is also an avid shoe collector, which his passion has only enflamed during his time being at the University of Oregon
- Tanner recently adopted a puppy named Lil Dutton that hangs with Tanner and the rest of the Oregon Baseball team whether they’re hanging around the campus or at the field practicing.
Tanner, our third Beach 2 Beyond athlete spotlight, is entering his final season at the University of Oregon, where he has established himself as a standout player. He holds records in multiple categories for the Oregon baseball team and looks to continue adding to his accomplishments. Tanner attributes his success on the field to the hard work and sacrifices he has made throughout his college and high school career. As a freshman, he was named a starter, a rare achievement, and batted .284 with 55 hits and 4 home runs. He has consistently improved each year, with his batting average reaching .317 in 2022, contributing to his overall career average of .305. He considers Angel Stadium to be his favorite place to play, having grown up attending Angels games. Besides playing baseball, Tanner is involved in the community through O Heroes, a program that encourages University of Oregon athletes to engage with the local community. He enjoys visiting local elementary schools and interacting with the students. When not on the field, Tanner loves exploring the beautiful outdoor scenery in Eugene, especially hiking trails with his teammates and friends. Tanner's Sneakers
Tanner has had a lifelong passion for sneakers, and this interest has only grown stronger during his time at the University of Oregon. As a student-athlete at one of the top Nike schools in the country, Tanner has access to numerous shoes from Phil Knight, the co-founder of Nike. He considers his favorite pair of sneakers to be the Jordan 7 Oregon Player’s Edition that he and his team received while traveling to their Regional last year. The special edition sneakers are a testament to his love of sneakers and the benefits of being an Oregon athlete.
