How to Make Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper, and add it to the skillet. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the broccoli is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
- Add the beef back to the skillet and pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry over rice or noodles.
